Birthdays
betaA quiet reminder for the birthdays you'd rather not forget.
Add the people you care about and Birthdays tells you who is next, how many days away it is, and the age they are turning. It sorts by the next occurrence rather than the calendar, so after 31 December comes 1 January. The year of birth is optional: without one you still get the date, just no age. Everything is stored on your device, and syncing to your own account is there if you want it.
What it does
- Sorts everyone by whose birthday is next, wrapping across the new year
- Shows the days remaining and the age being turned, computed every time
- Celebrates 29 February on the 28th in years that do not have one
- Works offline as an installable app, with the data held on your device
- Exports and imports your whole list as JSON
- Syncs across your devices through your own account, if you turn it on
What it doesn't do
- Does not send notifications, so it only reminds you when you open it
- Does not import contacts from your phone or any other account
- Does not work out relationships, gift ideas, or anything social
- Does not sync until you ask it to, and never asks you to sign up
